episode 4 finding fulfillment with Jacqueline Villeneuve.png

In this episode, I’m so honored to have Jacqueline Villeneuve here today to speak with me about searching for fulfilment. Jacqueline, who is the Founder, and Executive Director for ZLT Hope Homes which was founded in 2013, providing a home to 27 orphaned and abandoned children from all backgrounds. She volunteered in Kenya for the first time in July 2009 at only fifteen-years-old.

Jacqueline is a full time student at Pennsylvania State University,. She is also the Founder of Olive & Annie- a social enterprise which produces fair trade apparel and accessories for women and children which directly supports ZLT Hope Homes with each purchase. Jacqueline is a Me to We Award Winner, Diamond Jubilee Award Recipient, and a YWCA Young Woman of Distinction Award Winner. Since 2009 Jacqueline has raised over $500,000 for development and orphan care programs in Kenya. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of She Matters.

Key Moments for me

  • Create your own family culture

  • Voluntourism- know who you are first, and make sure you volunteer for the right reasons

  • "Finding the things that bring you happiness should be the focus"
