How to Practice Self Care and Feel Happier

Do you take time each day to take care of yourself?

We live in a busy world and if we don’t stop to take care of ourselves, we will eventually burn out. Self care is a topic talked about a lot lately, and it’s important to keep in mind and incorporate into your day.

What is self care?

Self care is a way of “recharging your batteries” and taking time for yourself, to reenergize and give yourself time.

Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.

If you think you don’t have time for this, it doesn’t need to be a huge chunk of time. Self care can simply be taking a short walk on your own each day, reading a book for 30 minutes in the evening or writing in your journal each morning.

None of these activities need to take a long time (well, maybe the pamper day) but incorporating at least one a day will help to recharge your batteries and allow you to take some much needed time for yourself.

An empty lantern provides no light. Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine brightly.
